Ayuryoga Weekend Workshop @ Michigan Yoga Association

Ayuryoga: Balancing Doshas with Asana, Pranayama, Meditation & Bandha

This weekend immersion will provide an introduction to Dosha theory, and practical guidelines of tool selection (asana, pranayama, meditation, bandha) for each of the three main doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Creating classes using the wisdom of the doshas as a structure provides the yoga teacher or practitioner with an accurate design or north star that leads to balanced/sustained health, or resolution of an imbalance in the student’s body or mind. Participants will learn specific, appropriate yogic tools to use in their daily practice or classes for themselves and their students. Practicing Hatha Yoga according to one's dosha (constitution) takes into account the nature at birth, as well as the current state of balance or imbalance.

Participants will leave with a printed guide to optimize yoga class designs and increased confidence in creating custom sessions.
